We are about to take our first step into the foster world. This weekend, we will be keeping a child as part of providing respite care for another foster family in our county.
We’ve already met this child, and I’m already thinking it might be hard to let them return to their foster home after the weekend ends!
Pray for us, would you? I’m nervous about it, but excited, too. I found myself for a couple of days hoping that the foster mom would back out of us doing the respite care. But then we met the child, and my heart immediately regained its courage.
I’m not sure what all we can write on this public blog, so for the time being, at least, I’ll probably be vague, even with details such as gender. But I’ll try to post an update after the weekend to let everyone know how it went.

May you have ‘courage’
and lots of fun this weekend. The privacy thing can be a problem in communication during the process!!
I will certainly e-mail pictures today! I thought you guys got the HUGE file containing 10+ pictures; however, it could have been kicked back due to the large size. I will resend with my new handy-dandy picture package!
Blessings to you both and thanks for always leaving such encouraging message on our blog. You make this writing thing a lot of fun.
Your fellow follower of Christ,
