Just a brief update and request for continued prayer…
We got a call from Hope Giver’s foster mom about 12:45 letting us know that as of that point, the case had not been heard. At that point, they were saying that the case should be heard around 2:00 PM EST (which is actually right about the time I’m writing this).
Please pray. My stomach is all in knots right now and tears keep hovering right at the surface. How desperately I want to see Hope Giver receive a permanent family (and how equally desperately I would love us to be that family!), and this TPR hearing is the first step in that process.
Christy is at home right now with Hope Giver (along with our son), while I try valiently to focus on my work here at the University. I wish I could be home with them right now. It’s very hard to focus on music today with all of these thoughts racing through my mind. I’m grateful that I was able to be home until shortly after 11:00 AM (Hope Giver came over around 7:45 AM), but wish I could be there while all this is going on.
We will try to update when we know something more…
