We are so blessed. Christy and I were just discussing last night how quickly everything is happening. I know there are many, many couples who long to adopt who go through incredibly long periods of waiting, hoping, praying…
While it’s been just about a year since we started inquiring about getting licensed for foster/adoptive care, it’s barely been three months since we got licensed. And it’s not even been quite two months since we first found out about Hope Giver.
And yet, if all goes as is currently scheduled, we will know next week whether or not we will be able to adopt her. How rapidly things have moved!!
I don’t know why we have been blessed in this way. I don’t know why we have been spared the long, drawn-out processes that many go through. All I know is that we are blessed, and we are extremely grateful to our Heavenly Father for this opportunity.
Look for an “official” update here next week. And please, keep praying. It looks like everything is in place for the permanency hearing to go our way. The wait is almost over.

Wow! This is awesome news. You know, I just made a post on my blog last week one day about God’s perfect timing. When we were waiting for our children, it seemed to take forever; but when I look back, in the grand scheme of adoption, our waits (of 10 and 7 months) were extremely short).
I will be praying for you guys this week! Can’t wait to read an update.

I am so very excited for y’all!! God is so good to bless you with this wonderful opportunity. Funny how He has such a perfect way of putting you just where you need to be. Opening doors for you to change lives and to have your lives changed by the same lives you are touching.
I can’t wait to hear the good news next week…that Hope Giver is coming home to be with her Forever Family. God has blessed you and is blessing you with all that you’ve wanted, hoped for and prayed for…how awesome that must feel. I am so happy and excited for you, Christy and Dylan. I am so very, very happy for you, my dear friend!

Gordon, your comment slipped through yesterday while we were going through finding out the news that we posted about in our more recent post.
Thank you for your prayers. I still believe firmly that this is what God has in store for us. We just have to keep waiting on the process to play itself out.
You and Amy are a blessing to us. Thank you for continuing to pray and encourage us!
