Hope Giver is Moving

When we began writing on this blog in June of 2007, our intent was to have a place to share thoughts and ideas on our new journey through foster and adoptive care.  We had no way of knowing that in just one year we would be awaiting the adoption of our daughter.  We have been able to share the entire process of this adoption, while protecting Hope Giver’s privacy during her time in the foster care system.

Now that she is now officially our daughter, we have the desire to speak freely about her,  just as we do with our son.  The dilemma we have at this point is being able to keep this blog a safe place for her story and for the stories of future children that we may have the privilege of having in our care.

So, we have decided to begin talking about Hope Giver on our family blog, which is separate from this blog.  Our friends and family want to see her face and read about her latest development and we want to share this with them.  We know that many of you will want to continue to follow her development as well.  If this is you, feel free to email us and we will give you the link to our family blog.  We just posted there yesterday.  Our email addresses can be found at the bottom of the home page on this blog.

Our hope is that we will be able to write about many children that cross our paths on this blog.  Right now, we are taking the time to continue to bond with Hope Giver.  So, we won’t be writing about specific children at least for a few months.  We will try to post about topics that are pertinent to the world of foster care and adoption.  It is such a blessing to be on this path.

Thank you everyone for your words of encouragement.  The friends that we have made through this blog are ones that we know will endure for many, many years.   We pray that you will follow Hope Giver over to our family blog.  We have so many new developments to share!!
